Our Town (Bilingual) Now Available for Licensing to North American Professional Theatres

We’re delighted to announce that Our Town (Bilingual) featuring Spanish translations by Michel Hausmann is now available for licensing to professional theatres across North America via Concord Theatricals.

Infused with layers of language, culture and community, Our Town (Bilingual) expands and continues to encompass everyone in a quintessentially American – and human – story.

In this new bilingual edition, Emily and the Webb family speak Spanish at home and English with their neighbors, some of whom also speak Spanish. The Stage Manager, the Gibbs family and most other characters speak English only. The play’s stage directions are written in English, and an English translation is provided for all dialogue in Spanish.

Michel Hausmann is Artistic Director of Miami New Drama. He conceived and directed the premiere production of Our Town (Multilingual) in 2017. In 2022, Hausmann was awarded the Thornton Wilder Prize for his work on this production.
